Hertz Australia to introduce new Ford Territory to fleet

Travel News Asia 20 September 2004

Hertz car rental company is to add  the new Ford Territory TX to its Australian fleet.

The rear wheel drive Territory will enter the Hertz Australia fleet progressively from this month.

It will be available from Hertz corporate outlets in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Gold Coast and Cairns.

“The Ford Territory offers a whole new driving experience, combining the handling of a standard sedan with the space and comfort of a SUV wagon,” said Hertz Australia Region Vice President and Managing Director Mr. James Bowyer.

“We expect the Territory to be very popular not only with the Australian domestic market but also with overseas visitors who want a spacious vehicle for their travels, but do not necessarily want to rent a 4WD.”

The Ford Territory offered by Hertz Australia will be a five-seat version, with 1153 litre luggage capacity, more than 30 storage spaces and the convenience of front and rear cupholders.

Additional features include a CD player and a range of safety features including dual front airbags, ABS brakes and the Acutrac Plus handling system, which delivers increased stability.
