Travel News Asia 20 September 2004

China Southern Airlines today took delivery of a new Boeing 737-700 series aircraft to be used in its Zhuhai Airlines subsidiary.

The aircraft is the 17th in the total order of 20 Boeing 737-800/700 aircraft.

Mr. Yang Guanghua, Executive Vice President, China Southern Airlines explained that the concluding order of 737-700 aircraft which will be made by December this year, “are not new additions to China’s largest civil aviation fleet but ‘swap-outs’ for currently operating aircraft.”

The new China Southern Airlines aircraft is the second brand-new Boeing 737-700 “Next Generation” aircraft to be used in the Zhuhai marketplace.
