Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces to open Serviced Apartments in Mumbai

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces is to launch, by the latter half of 2004, the Taj Wellington Mews, marking its' foray into serviced luxury residences in India.

Drawing on its rich hoteliering heritage, the luxury residences will deliver on the Taj brand promise of a luxury experience that combines the familiar comforts, space and privacy of home with the facilities and security of a luxury hotel.

Taj Wellington Mews is strategically located in the heart of South Mumbai, within an arms reach of the main business and shopping areas and the cultural centres, galleries and theatres. The complex is spread over 2.6 acres of lush landscaped gardens and has been designed by John Portman and Associates, USA.

Fully furnished and self-contained, it has 88 well appointed luxurious and functional apartments with options of 1-3 bedrooms. An independent tower block contains a therapeutic spa and state-of-the-art health club and a swimming pool. The Taj Wellington Mews provides other amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, a data port, private telephones, daily housekeeping, round the clock maintenance and complete security. A high-tech Business Centre, a delicatessen, a library, separate parking facilities and discreet apartment entrances, offer guests exclusivity and convenience.
