The Radisson SAS Resort, Taba has appointed Mohamed Khorshed as its new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Khorshed, an Egyptian national, has worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years. Since completing a Bachelor degree in tourism and hotel management from Helwan University, Cairo, he has gained extensive experience with various prestigious international hotel chains before the move to the five-star Radisson SAS Resort, Taba.

“Mohammed has spent most of his career working for top quality brands in Egypt. His in-depth knowledge and understanding of the region provides a huge advantage in this challenging new position,” said Jean-Marc Busato, Vice President, Rezidor SAS Hospitality Middle East.

In addition to his hospitality experience, Khorshed is an exceptional swimmer and waterpolo player, having won over 150 medals in various tournaments. He speaks Arabic, English and German, and has travelled abroad extensively.

He takes over from Magdi Sayegh who, after an extremely successful year as Director of Sales and Marketing, has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at the luxury resort.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge with Radisson and very pleased to be staying in Taba. The resort has so much to offer and attracts many different types of guest, which means I am always learning new skills. I wish Mohammed the very best in his role; he will be working with a great team who will support him all the way,” said Sayegh.

Radisson SAS Resort, Taba, boasts breathtaking views of the majestic Sinai mountains and 350 square metres of private beach. The seas that flank the hotel are host to some of the world’s best diving sites. Situated 24 kilometres south of Taba, the resort has easy access to three of Egypt’s airports at Taba, Aqaba and Sharm-El-Sheikh.
