Kempinski to manage new hotel in Lithuania

Kempinski Hotels & Resorts has signed a management contract for a landmark hotel in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania.

A five-star luxury property, the hotel is situated in the centre of the city, near Gedimanas Castle, with spectacular views of Vilnius’ main square, with its Cathedral and bell tower, an historic site where the President was inaugurated. The hotel also overlooks the President’s Office, Vilnius University and the Old Town. It will have 107 spacious bedrooms and suites, equipped to the highest international standard. There will be meeting space, international restaurants, a business centre and a health club.

The hotel is a beautiful historic building with neo-classical architecture. The 19th century façade will be preserved while the interior will be renovated to offer elegant facilities. There will be two extension wings built and the hotel is expected to open in 2006.
