Travel News Asia 1 September 2004

From today, customers of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Delta Air Lines will benefit through a reciprocal interline electronic ticketing product. Delta joins a growing list of carriers with whom KLM has an interline electronic ticketing agreement, including Air France, Northwest Airlines, Continental, Alaska Airlines en American Airlines.

“Working with Delta in this way further extends electronic ticketing convenience to customers who travel on KLM and Delta in the same itinerary,” said Bart Vos, KLM’s senior vice president Distribution & E-commerce. “Further electronic ticketing enhancements ensure customers enjoy worry-free and seamless travel on KLM and other carriers.”

The KLM/Delta interline electronic ticketing agreement represents KLM’s 6th such relationship, and KLM said it has plans to extend interline E-ticketing to additional carriers.
