Jumeirah Islands project in Dubai fully sold out

Travel News Asia 18 September 2004

Jumeirah Islands, Nakheel's upscale and exclusive self-contained complex of 46 clusters within man-made islands spread across an area of 300 hectares, is now totally sold out, following an enthusiastic response from regional and international buyers.

The unique real estate project comprising a total of 736, four and five-bedroom villas designed along four core themes is taking shape on the eastern side of Sheikh Zayed Road, between Interchanges 5 and 6. Nakheel has already completed the work of filling the artificial lakes with seawater that is pumped in from the sea through an underground pipeline.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Nakheel said: "Jumeirah Islands is a signature residential project designed to offer its residents an unparalleled lifestyle. It is the first development of this size in the world, where man-made island clusters are surrounded by seawater. We are overwhelmed by the response that was generated, due to the opportunity to live in a soothing world of winding canals, cascading waterfalls, lush gardens, quaint promenades and luxury marinas. The enormous response to our unique development is owing to investors wanting to buy something far from the ordinary and, by creating a waterfront property with all the essentials of a community - even private family enclaves in some cluster areas - we have managed to achieve just that. In brief, Jumeirah Islands has redefined waterfront community living in Dubai."

"The Jumeirah Islands has had tremendous response not only from the UAE, but also from the GCC region in addition to a strong interest emanating from the UK and European markets," added Bin Sulayem.

The most striking aspect of Jumeirah Islands is the themed villas that offer a mix of architectural styles drawn from all over the world reflecting the international influence in Dubai. The designs of the villas are portrayed under four core themes: Oasis, Islamic, European and Mediterranean. The islands are separated into 46 clusters. Each cluster comprises 16 individually styled villas.

Under each theme, there are different options to choose from. For example, the Oasis theme offers designs like Desert Modern, Mexican, Egyptian and Dubai. The Islamic theme presents villas designed along Ottoman, Mumluki, Moroccan and Abbasi styles. The European theme features a choice of Italian, Venetian, Venice Medici and Spanish architecture. Finally, the Mediterranean clusters are designed along Costa Del Sol, French Riviera and Spanish styles.

Each villa at Jumeirah Islands comes with its private swimming pool and own garden area. Family and recreational activities and a selection of retail outlets are also provided to complete the picture of a self-contained community. Facilities include canoeing, pedal boating, trails, walkway bridges, community club and commercial areas.
