Hertz
has been named as the sponsor of this year’s American Society of Travel Agents
(ASTA) Travel & Tourism
Awards, featured at ASTA’s 74th World Travel Congress in Hong Kong, Sept. 28-Oct. 3.
“We are grateful to Hertz for their sponsorship of these awards, and for their continued support of travel agents and the
industry as a whole,” said Bev Zukow, chair of ASTA’s 2004 World Travel Congress. “Both ASTA and Hertz understand
how important it is to give recognition to those in our industry who serve as inspiration to us all.”

That’s why we felt our sponsorship of these awards was well worthwhile so individuals will receive well-deserved
appreciation and continue to contribute to future industry success,” said Barbara Hand, director of travel agency and
intermediary marketing for Hertz.
Each year at World Travel Congress, ASTA recognizes individuals who make outstanding contributions to the travel and
tourism industry. This year, the categories include Travel Hall of Fame, Travel Agent of the Year Award, Allied Member
Award, Environmental Award and the International Travel Agent of the Year.
