Emirates to Fly Twice Daily to Birmingham

Emirates is to launch a second daily service to and from Birmingham, England from next summer.

The award-winning carrier’s second daily flight will begin operating on 1st June, 2005, and will be served by a state-of-the-art 285-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Emirates’ second service from Dubai, EK037, will depart at 1545 hrs and arrive in Birmingham at 2015 hrs. Return flight, EK038, will depart at 2155 hrs arriving in Dubai at 0745 hrs the following morning.

Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline, said: "When we launched our Birmingham route in December 2000, we knew it would do well, and so it has, in no small way thanks to the strength of our reputation and excellence of our in-flight service.

"Our expansion continues apace as more and more people want to experience Emirates' award-winning service. Dubai is a fantastic destination for tourism or commerce located perfectly to break long journeys, with connections to many other points on the Emirates' network."

The carrier’s current daily flight, EK039, from Dubai to Birmingham offers customers a 0750hrs departure and arrives at 11:40. The return flight, EK040, departs from Birmingham at 13:20hrs and lands in Dubai 20 minutes after midnight.

The additional flight comes on top of Emirates' four services a day to Heathrow, three to Gatwick, two to Manchester and once daily to Glasgow.
