Pacific Blue to launch direct flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Port Villa

Pacific Blue is to begin flights between Australia and Vanuatu as of 20 September from two of the airline's key hubs, Melbourne and Brisbane.

To celebrate the airline's foray into the popular paradise, Pacific Blue has the following special sale fare now available:

Melbourne-Vanuatu one way on the net - A$249 
Brisbane-Vanuatu one way on the net - A$199

Chief Executive Brett Godfrey said, "We are confident this is going to be another winner for both tourism and travellers, with Pacific Blue bringing Australian holiday-makers from not just the East Coast but from all over the country due to our convenient connecting services."

He continued, "We believe there will be a fantastic economic impact for Vanuatu that will go beyond Port Vila and ripple down throughout the nation's entire economy."

Flights from Melbourne to Port Vila begin on 20 September and will depart Melbourne on Monday's at 9.30am, arriving into Port Vila at 2.40pm. The return flight departs on Tuesdays at 6.45pm and lands back in Melbourne at 10.50pm.

The direct flights between Brisbane and Port Vila kick off on 21 September and will fly out of Queensland at 2.20pm every Tuesday, touching down in Port Vila at 6pm while the return flight departs on Monday's at 3.30pm, arriving back into Brisbane at 5.30pm.

Pacific Blue will operate the route with modern 737-800 jets which can carry 180 Guests.
