Cendant Travel Distribution Services appoints Marise Hannaford as Director of Technology (Asia Pacific)

Cendant Travel Distribution Services today announced that it has appointed Marise Hannaford to the position of Director Technology (Asia Pacific), based in Sydney.

Marise Hannaford is a senior IT Professional with more than 20 years commercial experience.

Prior to joining Galileo she spent four years with TeleTech, a US-based multinational specialising in outsourced customer management. She was initially based in Sydney as Vice President Information Technology Asia Pacific, responsible for leadership of the MIS & IT function for TeleTech across Asia Pacific. She then moved to TeleTech's US headquarters to head up their newly formed Global IT Solutions group.

Marise Hannaford has a proven track record in improving organisational IT governance and investment effectiveness and is experienced in the management of both in-house technology (applications & infrastructure), and applications developed for external clients. She holds a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration from the University of Technology Sydney.

'The changing nature of our business in Asia Pacific, especially in Australia where the acquisition of Flairview Travel has significantly broadened the range of Cendant TDS operations in this market, saw a need to add a strong, locally based technical leader to our team,' said Janie Kaung, Executive Vice President and Managing Director (Asia Pacific) of Cendant Travel Distribution Services. 'Marise is ideally suited to the role, having gained extensive experience in strategic IT planning & execution, coupled with strong expertise in the design, deployment and management of business-related technology solutions in global companies. She will be an excellent complement to our regional IT team.'
