Hertz Australia adds new BMW 5 Series to Prestige Collection

Travel News Asia 14 April 2004

Hertz has introduced the new BMW 5 Series sedan to its Hertz Prestige Collection in Australia.

The new BMW 525i adds another option to the Prestige Collection, which has grown strongly since its introduction in Australia early last year.

"The new BMW 5 Series sedan is a natural addition to our Prestige Collection, and will be available in all major cities," said Mr James Bowyer, Hertz Australia Region Vice President and Managing Director.

"We have a long and strong relationship with BMW Group Australia, and already offer the BMW 3 Series and 530i Series sedans and the new BMW Z4 Roadster in our prestige fleet," said Mr Bowyer.

"In addition to bookings by corporate customers, our Prestige Collection continues to attract the interest of leisure customers, who increasingly are seeking luxury vehicles, particularly for short break holidays or special purposes."

The six-speed automatic BMW 525i offers drivers and passengers a wide range of features to enhance both safety and comfort.

For passenger safety, the vehicle offers features including front, rear and side airbags (10 in total), exceptional ride and handling, front fog lamps and even a computerised display of tyre pressure.

For comfort and luxury, the vehicle offers cruise control, leather upholstery, leather steering wheel, wood grain trim, electronic seat adjustment, CD player and stacker, automatic climate control with individual operation for driver and front passenger, front and rear reading lamps and cup holders, and even an onboard computer featuring outside temperature display.

The new BMW 525i can be rented from the Hertz Prestige Collection from AUD $170 per day, plus GST and local taxes and charges, which may vary between locations.

In addition to BMW vehicles, the Hertz Prestige Collection offers the Jaguar X-TYPE sedan, Volvo C70 convertible and Ford Fairlane Ghia.
