Le Méridien Dubai augments existing portfolio with launch of Le Méridien Fairway

Travel News Asia 14 February 2004

Le Méridien Dubai has expanded its current portfolio by acquiring an existing hotel property in Dubai. The property Le Méridien Fairway will operate under the management of Le Méridien Dubai.

Located in the heart of Dubai, Le Méridien Fairway is a stylish and luxurious hotel within close proximity of essential commercial and shopping centers, including the famous Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. The property is a short distance from Dubai International Airport and Airport Expo and minutes away from the Convention & World Trade Centre.

Mr. Sami Zoghbi, Managing Director, Middle East and West Asia (MEWA), Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts said: "Le Méridien Fairway joins the ranks of the 130 Meridien hotels worldwide reputed for their efficiency and superior service levels. The new property will serve as a platform to further bolster the group's presence with the UAE and regional hospitality market."

"In line with our commitment to developing a distinct portfolio of business and luxury hotels as well as resort destinations, Le Méridien Fairway is representative of the group's long-term investment strategy and global vision of being fiercely competitive."

Mr. Sami Zoghbi further said: "The new property marks an important milestone in our continuing endeavor to build a strong, diverse portfolio, and deliver unmatched benefits to our guests."

"Key to our continued success over the past two decades in Dubai has been our inherent ability to identify niche opportunities within the hospitality sector in the emirate. With consistently high occupancy levels at Le Méridien Dubai, we recognized that there was a need to further augment our existing portfolio of 383 elegantly furnished rooms and suites and 15 Food & Beverage outlets."

"We are confident that Le Méridien Fairway will be successful in benchmarking new standards in hospitality and offer some of the finest accommodations and elegant dining options in Dubai," he added.

At Le Méridien Fairway, elegant and modern designs blend seamlessly with luxury amenities and service, making it an ideal choice for the discerning traveler. After extensive refurbishment, the hotel opened its doors to a select clientele in the month of December last year. Full commercial operations commenced early January 2004.

Le Méridien Fairway epitomizes charming grandeur and chic casual elegance through its 58 rooms & suites.
