Qantas celebrates 84th birthday with Limited Time Discount Promotion

Travel News Asia 14 November 2004

Qantas celebrates its 84th birthday today with the launch of a massive birthday sale across the region. In Singapore, Qantas is offering up to 40% off return air fares when a minimum of two people travel together across most of its international network.

Qantas Regional General Manager for South East Asia, Steve Limbrick, said the special return economy airfares would allow customers to take their partner, a family member or a friend for up to 40% off the return air fares.

“These special fares are only on sale from now until midnight on Thursday, 18 November 2004 for travel from 9 February to 31 March 2005,” Mr Limbrick said.

“No other airline has as many flights to Australia from so many destinations,” he said.

“One of the great things about this sale is that it will not only encourage people to see Australia, but will also bring visitors from Australia and other countries here, because we have extended a similar offer in Australia and many of our other overseas regions,” Mr Limbrick said.

He said that customers in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, the UK, Germany, and the USA would all be able to take advantage of the special fares.
