Marriott International appoints Three New General Managers in Asian Properties

Mr Ed Hubenette, Vice President Asia, Australia and New Zealand for Marriott Lodging, has confirmed the following appointments of General Managers in the region.

Mr Jim Boyles - General Manager, JW Marriott Surabaya, Indonesia

Jim Boyles is an industry veteran with a career spanning 30 years. His latest appointment has a touch of déjà vu as he had worked at the hotel before its conversion to become a JW Marriott.

His most recent position before returning to Surabaya was General Manager at the 323 room Renaissance Sapporo Hotel in Hokaido, Japan, where he was stationed for the last two years.

Jim has won many awards throughout his distinguished career, including the “2003 Marriott Sales General Manager Achievement Award”.

Peter Brampton - General Manager, Marriott Brisbane, Australia

Peter brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, following 15 years with the Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation where he held positions throughout Australia and Internationally with tenures in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and New Zealand.

His most recent position prior to his current appointment, Peter was the General Manager of the Stamford Plaza Hotel, Brisbane and returning to Brisbane, he was General Manager of the Park Royal on St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

Mr Brampton said he was thrilled to join the award-winning Brisbane Marriott. “I’m looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead, and to leading the team of the five stars Brisbane Marriott into what will surely be an exciting future.”

Mrs Supap Sirins - General Manager, Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments, Bangkok

Mrs Supap Sirins is the newly appointed General Manager at the stunning Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments in Bangkok. She brings a solid background of 25 years in the industry with extensive knowledge of Rooms Operations, Food and Beverage, Finance, Sales and Marketing and Human Resources both at home in Thailand and also Internationally.

She was educated in the United States and spent the first 16 years of her career there before returning to her beloved homeland in 1988 as Resident Manager of the Royal Garden Village Hua Hin.

Previous positions with Marriott International include Director of Human Resources and Resident Manager at JW Marriott Bangkok and General Manager at Atlanta Midtown Courtyard by Marriott (USA).
