Search ASIA Travel Tips .com 13 September 2004

Dusit Hotels & Resorts is to enter the popular 'lifestyle' property market with a new brand - D2hotels. Dusit's first  property under this new brand is now under construction and is located in Chiang Mai, it is scheduled to open early 2005. The D2hotel brand is to expand to other prime destinations in Thailand and overseas, with Bangkok targeted for the second D2hotel.

D2hotels will boast an individualistic concept, which is an integration of Thai culture and modernistic lifestyle to create a unique ambience. Every D2hotel will be designed with a totally different concept from the existing Dusit or Royal Princess brands, yet in league with international standards while still maintaining the Thai heritage which Dusit is renowned for.

The D2hotel Chiang Mai is located on Chang Klan Road, in the heart of the bustling downtown area, the famed Night Bazaar, the Tha Pae gateway where the ancient temples are, as well as various restaurants serving ethnic and international cuisines, and other tourist attractions.

The new hotel has 130 modern guest rooms, two restaurants, a gym, swimming pool, business club lounge, meeting/banqueting rooms, and Dusit’s signature Devarana Spa.

For recreation, Chiang Mai itself provides many outdoor activities reflecting the best of what the north has to offer such as golfing, elephant rides, mountain trekking and handicraft and antique tours.
