China Southern Airlines launches 'Buy one, Get one' Business Class deal in Australia

Travel News Asia 13 May 2004

China Southern Airlines has introduced a special two-for-one Business Class offer for passengers flying from Australia to any of four cities in China.

For every Business Class fare purchased from Sydney and Melbourne to Guangzhou and beyond to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, the airline is offering a free Business Class seat for a companion.

This means two passengers can fly China Southern’s Business Class from Sydney or Melbourne to Guangzhou for a combined total of $3,399 (AUD) return, including Australian taxes.

For those wishing to continue from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, China Southern’s roundtrip Business Class fare from Australia totals just $3,599 (AUD) for two-passengers, including Australian taxes.

And for those wanting to fly on to Beijing or Shanghai, the roundtrip Business Class fare from Australia totals just $3,799 (AUD) for two people.

China Southern operates four weekly Boeing 777 services from Australia – two on the Melbourne-Sydney-Guangzhou route and two more from Sydney to Guangzhou.

“China is emerging as a major new market for Australian business and leisure travelers, and China Southern is committed to meeting the growing demand for seats,” said Ms Annie Ye, General Manager Australia for China Southern Airlines.

“Our Business Class companion offer represents exceptional value for passengers flying with us from Australia to China,” said Ms Ye.

“Our Boeing 777 seats 262 passengers, including 65 in a Business Class cabin configured in a 2 x 3 x 2 seat layout. We offer a generous 40-inch seat pitch, large comfortable seats, a personal video screen, IDD telephone for every passenger and a choice of gourmet cuisine, as well as dedicated check-in counters and airside Business Class lounges in Melbourne and Sydney Airports.” added Ms. Ye

This Business Class fare offer is available until 31 March, 2005, on most of the airline’s flights from Australia. Seats are limited at these prices and some conditions apply.
