Accor launches Beijing promotion

Travel News Asia 1 December 2004

Accor is offering a selection of Internet only rates featuring a choice of three Novotel hotels in key locations around China's capital city, Beijing.

From now until 23 January 2005, travellers can enjoy discounts of up to 40 per cent at the following hotels:

Both Novotel Peace Beijing (US$65++ per night) and Novotel Xinqiao Beijing (US$60++ per night) offer easy access to over 100 cultural relics and attractions around the city including historic Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.

For guests looking for a countryside retreat just outside the hustle and bustle of the city, China's first all-suite spa resort Novotel Oasis Beijing, is offering a rate of US$52++ per night.

Beijing, host of the 2008 Olympic Games, is moving to reinvent itself as a modern cosmopolitan city fit for the world's greatest sporting spectacular. With a history spanning thousands of years, Beijing is a melting pot of the old and new, with skyscrapers towering above ancient pagodas and modern shopping centres competing with traditional markets. Even with the great rush forward towards modernisation, it remains a timepiece to a bygone era.
