International Business Meetings and Events to be Recognised in EIBTM 2004 AWARDS

Travel News Asia 10 June 2004

Organisers of The EIBTM 2004 Awards, which recognise the creative and effective organisation of business meetings and events, have broadened the categories of the awards for 2004. The judges are inviting entries from organisers of events from all over the world in response to demand from previous years.

Debbie Jackson, EIBTM's Exhibition Director comments; "This year we have taken the decision to extend these awards to include events from all over the world. The judges will consider and recognise creativity, innovation and results, regardless of budget. Winning a prestigious EIBTM award demonstrates that your event was truly world-class."

Jackson continues: "We have expanded the awards for 2004 in response to requests from organisers of events who are based outside Europe and in recognition of the upturn in the market, to ensure that we cover every primary business event. Some companies may want to enter more than one category and are welcome to do so."

Judging will be held in London on 14 October 2004. Jeremy Garbett, Board Director of Jack Morton Worldwide will be presiding as Chairman of the Judging Panel.

Jeremy says: "It is a great pleasure to be asked again to chair the judging this year. Being involved in the EIBTM 2004 awards provides me with an excellent view across the very best of the meetings and incentives industry. These awards truly recognise brilliant, well-crafted event creation at the highest level. I am looking forward to seeing the impact that the broader, international categories will have on the standard of entries."

The closing date for entries is 30 July 2004.
