China Southern to resume 3rd Transpacific Flight on August 3

Travel News Asia 9 July 2003

China Southern Airlines is to resume its 3rd weekly transpacific flight between Los Angeles and China, starting Sunday, August 3.

China Southern suspended this third weekly flight during the recently concluded severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) crisis in Asia.

China Southern Airlines is currently operating twice weekly transpacific service - Wednesday and Friday evenings - and continues to operate this service on a code-share basis with Delta Air Lines.

"China Southern Airlines' Los Angeles gateway in North America is very important to our company and we are quite pleased to see bookings rapidly coming back in all categories of service," said Mr. Wang Changshun, President China Southern Airlines.
