The Balé included in Condé Nast Traveler's 80 Best New Hotels in the World Hot List 2003

Travel News Asia 9 May 2003

The Balé, a Sanctuary Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali has been included in the Condé Nast Traveler's 80 Best New Hotels in the World Hot List 2003.

The Balé was the first all villa luxury resort with personal pools to open in the Nusa Dua area - all with either seaview or golf course view. The Balé consists of 20 private villas, each with individual lap pool, garden and outside resting area, providing a feeling more like a private commune than a resort.

The Balé, being the only Indonesian resort to be included in the list, offers a refreshing and strikingly contemporary architecture, designed by minimalist Indonesian architect Antony Liu, a lush landscape created by Karl Princic and round the clock service by a team of discreet personal butlers.

The resort is inspirational for those who wish to renew themselves and spend some quality time and space with the person they love. To ensure serenity and relaxation for adult guests, the resort does not accommodate children below 16 years of age.

The gourmet restaurant "Faces", which Conde Nast described as "one of Bali's best kitchens", is located by the main pool and features an open kitchen, gently awakening its guests with inviting smells of freshly baked  goodies and brewed coffee. Light and contemporary cuisine with many seafood dishes are available for lunch and dinner.

Additional facilities at The Balé include a large communal lap pool, lounge pool, gymnasium, library and luxurious spa unique in quality and design. Managed by a team of seasoned professionals from Sanctuary Resorts The Balé fully brings to life the mind-body-spirit philosophy of its creators.

Sanctuary Resorts currently manages resorts in Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia and will open its latest resort The Racha on Racha Island, Thailand by the end of this year.
