Le Meriden Al Aqah Beach Resort strengthens its Sales and Marketing team

Le Meriden Al Aqah Beach Resort, an increasingly popular retreat on the East Coast of the United Arab Emirates has appointed Gautam Dawra as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Gautam assumes this position after being Assistant Director of Sales at the resort.

His most recent posting was with Rotana Hotels as Assistant Director of Sales where he was fully responsible for marketing and selling travel and trade business for five Rotana properties in Dubai and cross-selling for four other Rotana properties locally. With over 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry and an established track record in sales, Gautam will now be responsible for all sales and marketing activities at the resort.

Commenting on his new role, Dawra said, "I am delighted to strengthen and solidify my relationship with Le Meridien Al Aqah. This new role gives me a great deal of added responsibility but my job is made all the more easier by the resort's exceptional facilities and reputation as being an ideal getaway for residents of the UAE and neighbouring GCC countries." 

Salah Alhamad has been appointed Assistant Director of Sales at Al Aqah. He takes on his new role after being Senior Sales Manager at the resort since its establishment last year.

A Syrian national, Alhamad has worked at several leading hotel chains in the UAE and Syria before joining the Le Meridien group and has worked within various departments in the hospitality sector, including F & B, guest relations, revenue management and promotions.

Alhamad is a member of the Hotel and Catering Industrial Management Association (MHCIMA) and has a certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the International Correspondence School in the United Kingdom.
