The restaurants that have confirmed their participation specialise in dishing out a diverse range of international cuisine including Arabic, Indian, Iranian and Chinese food.

Ms. Laila Suhail, Corporate Alliance Director of Dubai Shopping Festival, said: "With the DSF just a week away, excitement is running high among the restaurants who have registered to participate in the "Eat & Win" Raffle. We anticipate more food outlets to register before the start of the festival. This initiative by DSF is to help quality food outlets across Dubai to boost their sales and in the process reward their customers. Previously, restaurants simply depended on their own marketing efforts. Now they will have the support of DSF to attract more customers during the 32 days of celebrations".

Restaurants can participate in the Raffle by filling an application form and registering at the DSF office till January 15th. Restaurants can register any number of their outlets for the Raffle together with a registration fee of Dhs. 500 per outlet. Participating restaurants will also be required to purchase the raffle coupons from DSF.

All outlets owned by Key sponsors, patrons and support sponsors will be exempted from the participation fee. However they will have to purchase the coupons for the "Eat & Win" Raffle.

Mr. Paul Pereira, Manager of Khyber Restaurant, said: "Our outlet in Bur Dubai will benefit tremendously from this promotion. As a restaurant that specialises in serving a variety of Indian dishes we are confident of attracting more customers this year during DSF. Our restaurant is committed to offering the best quality food to diners".

Mr. Ajay Talwar, Group Manager of the popular Bombay Chowpatty Restaurant, said: "We are happy to participate in this promotion during DSF and also welcome any other initiatives that are aimed at helping the restaurants enjoy a successful DSF. We will ensure that our restaurants in Lamcy Plaza and Bur Dubai which are participating in the "Eat and Win" raffle promotion make the best use of this opportunity to attract more customers".

Another participating restaurant, Al Teaba Food Restaurant, which specialises in Indian, Italian, Chinese and Oriental fast foods, also expects substantial business from the DSF promotion. The restaurant is located in Al Bustan Centre and will be open daily till midnight during DSF.

Mr. Mathew George, Executive Chef of the restaurant, said: "Our restaurant is always keen to enrich the eating out experience for our customers. Through this promotion we have a good opportunity to reward our customers in the most exciting way. A major benefit of participating in this promotion is that we can attract more customers, people who would otherwise patronise the outlets of our competitors".
