Travel News Asia 6 March 2003

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts announced today that it will eliminate all cancellation and attrition fees for meetings booked at InterContinental hotels in Asia Pacific between March 1 and May 31, 2003, that are scheduled to take place from now through December 31, 2003. "With our extensive management expertise, we understand the business needs and objectives of companies during these challenging economic  times, which include the increased need for face-to-face meetings," said Lucinda Semark, Vice President Marketing, Brands, Six Continents Hotels, Asia Pacific.

"As Asia Pacific becomes a major global market, more international business travelers are coming to this region for business and meetings. However, we also recognize the uncertainty many may have in  booking meetings and committing funds. At InterContinental, we know what it takes to address these concerns and provide solutions that enable companies and meeting planners to keep moving forward with their business."
