Maunu von Lüders to Head Nordic Airlink

Finnair has invited Maunu von Lüders MBA to assume responsibility for the development of the Scandinavian low-price airline concept at Nordic Airlink, in which Finnair acquired an 85-per-cent controlling interest in August.

Von Lüders will assume the post of Managing Director on November 1, 2003, by which time official approval related to the deal will be complete.

Before taking up his new post with Nordic Airlink, Maunu von Lüders worked for two years as Sales Manager for the oneworld global airline alliance, of  which Finnair is an active member. Prior to that, he worked for some years with Finnair, as Sales Manager and Sales Unit Director in Sweden, Austria, the  USA and Denmark, and most recently as Vice President, Alliances and International Relations, at the company's head office.
