Travel News Asia 3 June 2003

SRS-WORLDHOTELS has announced that Korea’s Asiana Airlines has become the group’s new airline partner, effective June 1, 2003.

The announcement is part of SRS-WORLDHOTELS’ move to strengthen its presence in Korea, and follows the recent signing of the luxurious Hotel Lotte Seoul (Downtown) as a member of SRS-WORLDHOTELS’ prestigious Deluxe Collection and its sister hotel Hotel Lotte Seoul (Jamsil) as a member of SRS-WORLDHOTELS.

As part of the new partnership, members of Asiana airlines frequent flyer programme Asiana Club can elect to receive 500 miles or more, depending on promotions, for every stay at an SRS-WORLDHOTELS member hotel.

Asiana Airlines is one of the leading airlines of Korea and a member of the Star Alliance network since March 2003. Its frequent flyer programme, the Asiana Club has 2.5 million members.

Besides extensive domestic connections within Korea, Asiana Airlines’ fleet of 65 modern aircraft serves 13 destinations in Japan, 13 cities in mainland China including Hong Kong, and an extensive network of destinations across the Pacific to the US, Central and Southeast Asia, Europe, Oceania and Russia.
