Second Ananda Spa opens in Bangkok

Travel News Asia 3 June 2003

Following the success of the Ananda Spa at The Capitol Club, Sukhumvit Soi 24 in Bangkok, the second Ananda Spa has opened at one of Bangkok’s most luxurious residences, the 128 all-suite President Solitaire.

Tucked away in the quiet yet convenient Sukhumvit Soi 11, guests enjoy an ambience of calm and harmony when they step into the peaceful serenity of the Ananda Spa, a prelude to an extensive range of specialized spa and beauty treatments.

“Ananda” means “a tree of knowledge”, where “Buddha attained Nirvana, and from which joy and inner peace is experienced when balance and harmony are established in one’s life”.

Herein lies the concept of “total wellness” at the Ananda Spa; embracing a holistic approach and the four elements of life, Earth, Water, Wind and Fire, and integrating them into specialized spa and beauty treatments.

Managed by CB Richard Ellis Asset Management (Asia Pacific) Limited (CBREAM), Ananda Spa at President Solitaire comprises of 3 floors of elegant, yet rustic interiors.

Guests are graciously received at the first floor and here one can also find a unisex hair salon, consultation rooms, two private rooms for Thai Traditional Massage, and a separate area for Foot Reflexology.

The second floor comprises of six private single treatment rooms with shower facilities in each room while the third floor houses the VIP room, locker rooms with shower, steam and sauna facilities.

At the Ananda Spa, ancient and well-tested techniques of massage and aromatherapy, as well as technologically advanced treatments are employed to enrich, rejuvenate and beautify the body and mind.

The ritual of the “ancient spa” is a sequence that begins with cleansing, followed by the use of heat, then the treatment, and finally allowing the body to rest.

A wide array of spa and beauty experiences await guests; ranging from massages, scrubs, bath therapies, facial and hair treatments, Qi and CACI courses. Top of the list of “all time favourites” are the SPAcial treatments, specially created spa packages to provide that “perfect balance” to soothe away stress and fatigue. Guests are also able to request customized spa packages for their personal use.
