Thai Airways International continues suspension of Phnom Penh - Bangkok services

On Thursday, 30 December 2003 Thai Airways International announced that following the Thai targetted riots and political situation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, THAI suspended flights operated between Bangkok and Phnom Penh until 7 February 2003 in order to ensure the safety of flight operations and its passengers. THAI has said it will announce further progress on flight operations on this route in the near future.

Bangkok Airways who also suspended flights, resumed services between Phnom Penh and Bangkok 1 February 2003 without incident.

Passengers with a THAI airline ticket wishing to cancel travel arrangements on the route Bangkok-Phnom Penh may obtain a refund at all THAI Offices when airline tickets are brought in. THAI will waive the fee for refunding of tickets and for reissue of tickets if passengers wish to travel that route once service resumes.

In addition, passengers with a THAI airline ticket on the return route Bangkok - Phnom Penh may use their THAI ticket on any airline’s flight operating on this route, the cost of which THAI will willingly absorb. Passengers may obtain  more information by contacting THAI’s Reservations Office at Tel.: (66-2) 628-2000 and (66-2) 280-0060, 24 hours a day.
