Starwood Hotels & Resorts uses IT&CMA in Bangkok to launch promotion

Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced today an exclusive 'Starwood Incentive' campaign to enhance recognition to the travel planners who confirm the first three group bookings at any of Starwood's Asia Pacific hotels before 30th January 2004.

This show special is available only for buyers at next week's IT&CMA in Bangkok and is designed exclusively to provide additional value to corporate travel and meeting planners with travel and meeting leads for Starwood Hotels & Resorts at the show.

With more than 500 quality international buyers and suppliers attending the show, Starwood is expecting a positive outcome from this year's participation. Starwood will be represented at their corporate booth (#334) as well as at the Indonesian, Australian and Malaysian destination booths.

The first three group bookings confirmed with signed contract by 30th January 2004 with travel before 31st October will be rewarded with the following prizes :

Incentive #1 : Six nights accommodation at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok - Thailand

Incentive #2 : Five nights accommodation at the Sheraton Grande Laguna Resort, Phuket - Thailand

Incentive #3 : Five nights accommodation at the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort, Thailand

Travel planners who have made pre-scheduled business appointments or are planning to visit Starwood booths should also know about the Starwood Preferred Planner, a loyalty program designed to reward and recognize meeting partners. Starwood Preferred Planner is one of the largest programs of its kind in the hotel industry. It enables meeting planners to be enrolled as members of Starwood Preferred Guest which allows them to earn free hotel nights, airline flights and more when they hold meetings or events at Starwood's worldwide portfolio of over 725 hotels in 80 countries.

Members of Starwood Preferred Planner earn one Starpoint for every US$3 in meetings revenue booked. A free night is available from as little as 2,000 Starpoints.
