Leading UK Travel Trade Magazine awards DTCM UK Office

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) representative office in United Kingdom, London has been adjudged the 'Best UK based Middle East Tourist Office' recently by a premium British travel trade publication 'Selling Long Haul'.

DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb said it yet another feather in the department's cap of success. "I should commend the efforts all those involved in this honour, for coming out with their best. Their efforts and planning have made us feel proud while receiving this award from the prestigious publication catering to travel trade sector," said bin Hareb.

He noted that award shows that we have channelised our efforts in correct direction, which is to attract more and more Europeans to Dubai, "The UK hotel establishment guests have recorded an increase of 28.27 per cent in 2002 when compared to the previous year," said Mr. bin Hareb.

Appreciating the efforts of the department representative office in UK, Mr. bin Hareb said: "Our representative office in London has worked hard in achieving a major break through in building interest in Dubai among travel agents and consumers".

Mr. bin Hareb said the emirate serve as an ideal destination of British tourists. "Dubai offers the most modern facilities admired world-wide, and simultaneously giving visitors a glimpse into the history and heritage of Arabia. In terms of leisure tourism, the emirate has lot to offer. Dubai state-of -the art infrastructure, fabulous sports facilities, clean sandy beaches are among its biggest attractions for European visitors," detailed Mr. bin Hareb.
