Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts launches new promotion to provide guests with 'Peace of Mind'

Travel News Asia 27 August 2003

InterContinental Hotels Group has launched an attractive new promotion entitled "Peace of Mind" which is now available at the 17 InterContinental hotels and resorts in 14 countries throughout Asia Pacific.

The "Peace of Mind" promotion means that guests get to enjoy luxuries such as spa treatments and room service of their choice at no extra cost. Each booking of a Suite or Club room (offer is not applicable to standard room bookings) instantly entitles the guest to complimentary premium services within the hotel up to the value paid for their room(s). The promotion is running from now until November 30, 2003.

During the "Peace of Mind'' promotion, members of the Group's loyalty programme, Priority Club Rewards, will enjoy even more perks. For each "Peace of Mind'' booking made online before 30 September, Priority Club Rewards Members will receive an additional 500 bonus points. Points earned can be exchanged for future room nights, in-house rewards or retail vouchers. Guests who currently are not members of Priority Club Rewards can sign up for Club membership online when completing their Suite or Club room reservations at www.intercontinental.com/peace.

Mr Allan Yip, Director, Brand Management, InterContinental Hotels Group, Asia Pacific commented on this exciting new promotion, "At InterContinental hotels, we continuously work to deliver the best service for our guests. We know what it takes to exceed our guests' expectations and the "Peace of Mind" promotion provides guests with a flexible, hassle-free way of enjoying great value and delightful luxuries that will enhance their experience at our hotels"

"Guests who stay in a Suite or Club room at participating InterContinental hotels and resorts will receive credits up to the value of the room excluding taxes, and credits can be accumulated for the entire stay. For example, if a guest stays two nights and the cost of the room per night is $500, he/she will have up to a total of $1,000 credits to be redeemed at any time during the hotel stay. Credits are only applicable for in-hotel products and services during the hotel stay and do not apply to conference and banqueting events. Unused credits are non-refundable or exchangeable for cash."

"Credits can be used for products and services offered by the participating hotels, such as F&B (including room service and mini bar), entertainment (in-house movies), laundry, spa treatments, private limousine service and hotel merchandise/souvenirs. These products and services may vary from hotel to hotel and guests will be advised on usage of the credits when they check-in."

"Guests who stay at our hotels for business or leisure may be inclined to try out services like the spa, enjoy a good dinner or private and luxurious limousine service to drive you round town and to the airport, and it would be our treat. This is our way of thanking our guests and Priority Club Rewards members," Mr Yip concluded.
