The Ultimate Escape offered at Evason Phuket Resort & Spa

Travel News Asia 26 November 2003

If you have ever imagined being cast away on a deserted island with your partner, then the Evason Phuket offers the ideal fantasy location but with all the luxuries that real castaways could only dream about.

Bon Island is a ten-minute boat ride from the Evason Phuket, and atop the only hillock on the island sits the Bon Island Suite. 144 steps from the resorts private beach and a world away from reality.

The Suite comprises a huge octagonal master bedroom with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, a king-size bed, day beds and an entertainment system. From the balcony surrounding the central room, guests can watch the magnificent sunset from the comfort of Planters chairs or from a sunken bathtub almost brushing the tree tops. A more traditional bathroom offers a dual vanity with hand crafted stainless steel bowls and an al fresco shower.

Bon Island is an overnight escape for just one couple. At 6pm the last boat departs Bon Island for the ten-minute shuttle to Evason Phuket Resort. The castaways have the island to themselves, with a chef and guest relations host on call from the beach-level camp. A security officer is also on standby.

The modern castaways enjoy a champagne sunset, followed by a romantic barbecue dinner prepared by the chef at their hill-top retreat. Breakfast is served on the beach. All told, this is the ultimate escape experience.

The Evason Phuket Resort & Spa opened in 2002. It is set in 64 acres of tropical gardens on Rawai Beach. At the southern tip of Phuket Island. Complimenting the 285 guest rooms and suites are seven stunning Pool Villas, five Pool Duplex Suites and the Bon Island Suite. The resort offers a fresh, contemporary design concept that appeals to todays more sophisticated travelers.

The Resort also has a world-class Six Senses Spa. The holistic Six Senses Spa offers a full menu of treatments, including several in outdoor salas overlooking the Andaman Sea. The resort also offers several dining alternatives, from Fusion to International and Thai, plus a memorable wine cellar and some of the best views in all Phuket.

A professionally-managed kids club keeps children entertained all day, with special meals, adventure games, and fun learning experiences. Activities at the resort range from water sports and tennis to a private diving school, boat trips, island tours & safaris, golfing and game-fishing.
