Travel News Asia 25 August 2003

Continental Airlines is improving service for transatlantic travelers by expanding destinations served in Europe and Africa through codesharing with the Dutch carrier KLM.

Effective September 6 (pending government approval), Continental codeshare service will be available on a connecting basis, via Amsterdam, to:

Almaty, Kazakhstan
Budapest, Hungary
Casablanca, Morocco
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Douala, Cameroon
Istanbul, Turkey
Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
Prague, Czech Republic
Trondheim, Norway

The addition of these 10 cities gives Continental's customers access to a total of 69 KLM destinations; 16 destinations in Africa and the Middle East and 53 destinations in Europe.

At the same time, KLM is increasing its coverage in the U.S. by adding codeshare service to more Continental destinations, for a total of 68 U.S. airports.
