Kowloon Shangri-La launches rejuvenated Horizon Club

To meet the perpetual demands of the business traveller in both technology and comfort, the award-winning Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, Hong Kong has announced the launch of its new and rejuvenated Horizon Club guest rooms and the expanded Horizon Club Lounge on the hotel’s top two floors.

New and Rejuvenated Horizon Club Guest Rooms

All Premier and Premier Harbour View rooms in the Horizon Club have been fully re-imaged. The elegant contemporary and modern designs incorporated into these new guest rooms create an ambience of modern  luxury, and retain the spaciousness, comfort and sophistication that Kowloon Shangri-La is known for.

The new rooms have a marble entrance foyer; an extra large work desk with easy access to international plugs and internet connections; a curved wardrobe and minibar design; luxurious  furnishings and upholstery; oversized Shangri-La developed bed mattresses, duvets and pillows for complete relaxation. The bathroom has been remodelled with white marble and a separate shower cubicle.

All the latest technology for business and pleasure has been incorporated into these new guest rooms, including: 4-in-1 office machine with printer,  copier, scanner, and fax, flat screen television, LCD television in bathroom, DVD player, full surround sound system, fully adjustable Herman Miller ergonomic chair, Corby trouser presser and DECT wireless telephone that  allows guests to receive telephone calls throughout the hotel (as of July 2003).

The Superior City View Rooms and Deluxe Rooms have been thoroughly rejuvenated, with new carpeting, drapes, upholstery, furnishings, and  fittings, all in contemporary designs with rich colours.

All new and rejuvenated guest rooms have easy broadband and data port internet access, three telephones, dual phone lines with third party  teleconferencing, fax machine with dedicated number and flat screen television.

Expanded Horizon Club Lounge

With harbour views, the brand new and expanded Horizon Club Lounge offers its guests an exclusive retreat with facilities for both work and pleasure. Complete with comfortable lounge areas to enjoy the  complimentary all-day refreshments, a 42” plasma television showing the latest news, a selection of newspapers and magazines, two computer cubicles, wireless broadband internet access, and a fully equipped  conference room with a 50” plasma television and Herman Miller ergonomic chairs.

For a supplementary charge of HK$500, the Horizon Club offers guests an extraordinary level of service and extra benefits that include:

Phase I Completed

The re-opening of the Horizon Club completes the first phase of the hotel’s ambitious re-imaging programme, which by late 2002 has already seen the  unveiling of the hotel lobby, Lobby Lounge, three other floors of new and rejuvenated guestrooms, and Tapas Bar - a brand new concept wine bar. These have all been designed by Bilkey Llinas Design Ltd, based in Hong Kong and Florida, USA.
