Accor offers 'Back to Bali Bumper Specials'

Travel News Asia 25 February 2003

Accor is offering special accommodation rates at three of their resort hotels in Bali and Lombok to encourage travellers back to the region. Since the fallout from the devastating bombings of 12 October 2002, Accor hotels in Bali and Lombok have made a steady recovery. Novotel Coralia Benoa Bali finished December at over 51 per cent occupancy (up from 14 per cent in  November), Novotel Coralia Lombok was at 38 per cent (up from 16 per cent) and Mercure Kuta Bali recorded 65 per cent (up from 35 per cent).

Mercure Kuta Bali (US$46++ per room, per night, incl of breakfast for 2) The Mercure Kuta Bali is located in the centre of Bali's most famous beach in the  heart of Kuta's entertainment, dining and shopping area, next to the Hard Rock Caf. Designed using as many indigenous materials as possible in contemporary Balinese style, the Mercure Kuta Bali mixes traditional  thatched roofs with modern furniture and design motifs. All 130 rooms have a terrace or balcony, many with superb water views across Kuta Bay and its famous sunsets, as does the rooftop restaurant and swimming pool.

Novotel Coralia Benoa Bali (US$54++ per room, per night, incl breakfast for 2) A  beach haven on the golden sands of Tanjung Benoa Beach, Novotel Coralia Benoa Bali offers a Balinese village atmosphere of stone, coconut wood and thatch roofing in the low-level design. All rooms have either a  balcony or a small garden, with the ultimate in accommodation being 12 luxury Beach Cabanas, which blend contemporary comforts and facilities with traditional Balinese design. Benoa, next to Nusa Dua, is the main water-sports centre for Bali.

Novotel Coralia Lombok (US$53++ per room, per night, incl breakfast for 2) Exquisitely secluded on the exotic southern shores of Lombok lies the Novotel Lombok. The resort, perched upon a stunning white sandy beach with a crystal clear lagoon, consists of a delightful cluster of rustically thatched bungalows featuring whimsical architecture, natural stone,  coconut wood and local artworks. It is the ideal place from which to explore the parts of Lombok that remain entirely unchanged by time, the culture of the indigenous people and the natural beauty of the island.

The Special rates are valid till 30 June, 2003.
