Mayfair, Marriott's new Executive Apartments in Bangkok

Travel News Asia 2 April 2003

Marriott International opened the first Marriott Executive Apartments in Thailand earlier this year. The Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments are one of the first internationally branded and managed extended stay lodging properties in the Thai capital and Marriott International's third lodging property in the city.

The Mayfair is located in the central business district on Soi Lungsuan, within close proximity to the American, and British embassies, as well as other representative government offices. Major department stores are just minutes away, with numerous Western and Asian restaurants in the immediate area. The Chidlom Skytrain station and Lumpini Park with its lake and its jogging trails are also within walking distance.

The 164-unit residency offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, which are spacious and elegant with a minimum of 54 square meters of living space for a one-bedroom apartment. All are completely furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen including washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. Multiple flat screen televisions with satellite feed, DVD player and clock radio are provided in all units. For working, there is a dedicated "home office" area with phone and fax lines with voice mail function and data port for easy connection to the internet.

Other facilities include Bistro lounge with breakfast and full a la carte dining, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and fully equipped gymnasium.

Director of Marketing, Thailand, Mr. Jeff Crowe, said: "Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments is one of the few buildings in Bangkok designed and constructed as a true 'executive residence' as compared to the offerings of some of the serviced apartments currently available. We are confident that the high quality of the facilities offered by Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments will be very popular among long-stay guests in Bangkok."

Mayfair, Marriott Executive Apartments is Marriott International's fourth executive apartment property in Asia, after The Atrium in Hong Kong, The Mumbai Marriott Executive Apartments in India, and Atago Forest Tower, Marriott Executive Apartments in Japan.
