New Director of Sales & Marketing for Melia Hanoi

Mr. Alfonso Romero, General Manager of Meli Hanoi in Vietnam today announced the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh as Director of Sales & Marketing.

As Meli Hanoi's new Director of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Quynh will be responsible for spearheading the 308-room five-star business hotel's sales and marketing efforts as well as developing its corporate and travel trade accounts.

Mr. Quynh brings to Meli Hanoi more than eleven years experience in the hospitality industry, having held senior sales positions with a number of properties in Vietnam, which includes the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi and Sofitel Plaza Saigon.

A graduate from Hanoi's University of Social Science and Humanities, Mr. Quynh is fluent in English, French and Russian.

Meli Hanoi is one of the most luxurious five-star hotels, located in the heart of Hanoi city which provides close touch with business centers, government and diplomatic districts, cultural and tourist attractions, entertainment and shopping areas.

It features 306 guest rooms, including one Presidential Suite, one Grand Suite and 70 Royal Service Executive Rooms. Its Grand Ballroom is considered the largest pillarless ballroom in Vietnam with capacity of 1200 guests for standing cocktail. For smaller events, the ballroom can be partitioned into three independent sections. In addition, the hotel has seven smaller meeting rooms. All of the meeting rooms have been equipped with wide range of state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and supported by well-trained technicians and service staff.

By March 2003, the hotel will be adding another 625sqm ballroom with capacity of 700 persons, as well as two function rooms, each of which can accommodate meetings of up to 100 persons.
