Batam View Beach Resort appoints Martin Chan as Director of Sales

Martin Chan was recently appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing for Batam View Beach Resort.

Martin brings to the resort a track record of more than nine years in sales for top business hotels and resorts in the region. Prior to joining Batam View, he was Director of Sales for Mandarin Oriental’s Jakarta and Surabaya properties, based in the Singapore regional office.

The 33-year-old hotel sales professional graduated with a Bachelor in Hotel & Travel Management from Hawaii Pacific University nine years ago. After three years with Hyatt International, he joined Harbour View Hotel (Singapore) as Senior Sales Manager.

Among other recent positions, he had been Director of Sales with Banyan Tree in Maldives & Seychelles, and before that, was Regional Director, Asia with Summit Hotels and Resorts.
