New appointments at Le Meridien Nirwana Golf & Spa Resort

Le Meridien Nirwana Golf & Spa Resort, Bali, General Manager Mark Griffiths has announced the four following appointments and promotions.

Kaharuddin Salamun joins Le Meridien Nirwana this month as Resident Manager, replacing Kenneth Sorrensen, who is promoted to General Manager at Le Meridien Tahiti. Known by his friends and co-workers as "Kahar", he most recently was general manager at Intan Village Resort in Bali and previously held the post of Sales & Marketing Director, at Santrian Beach Resort, Bali.

I Made Ramia Adnyana assumes the position of Assistant Director of Sales, a promotion from Senior Sales Manager. Joining the resort in June 1997 as Receptionist, he was promoted to Shift Leader in March 1998 and Village  Chief in December, before transferring to Sales & Marketing as a Sales Manager in February 2001. Upon graduation from the Hotel & Tourism Training Institute in Bali in 1992, he began his career at Bali Padma Hotel,  where he was twice employee of the month and employee of the year in 1996. Ramia speaks English, Japanese, and German.

Sugeng Sugiantoro is promoted to Catering & Conference Manager. He joined Le Meridien Nirwana in June 1998 as Assistant Manager and was  promoted to Catering & Conference Assistant Manager in July 2001. Graduating from Hotel & Tourism Training School in 1992 on his native island of Lombok, he worked at a local hotel and as a supervisor at Holiday Inn Resort Lombok before moving to Bali and Le Meridien. Sugeng speaks Italian.

I Nyoman Suparta becomes Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Joining the resort in May 1997 as a Captain, he was promoted to Assistant Pool Grill Manager in January 1998 before taking his previous post as Nirwana  Restaurant Manager in February 2000. An English-speaker, Nyoman began his career in 1990 as a Captain and Guest Relations Officer at Bali Padma Hotel.
