Editorial changes at CEI Asia Pacific

Travel News Asia 2 December 2003

CEI Asia Pacific, a monthly corporate events magazine, will enter 2004 with a new editorial team to take the magazine forward.

Since launching three years ago, CEI Asia Pacific has successfully established itself as one of the leading business events titles in the region, providing corporate travel buyers and marketers with topical coverage of influential industry issues.

CEI editor Mark Armsden will be taking up his position at the Australian Tourist Commission in the new role of business tourism manager, Asia, on December 9.

Olivia Toth is joining the publication as editor, translating the existing industry relationships formed during her time as editor of PRWeek Asia-Pacific, in order to expand the title and provide in-depth coverage for corporate readers.

During her tenure heading PRWeek, Olivia Toth grew the magazine's regional reach across Asia-Pacific, spanning markets from India, North and Southeast Asia, to Australia; and spearheading PRWeek's prestigious annual Awards as the defining celebration of regional industry best practice. Prior to PRWeek, Toth was based in Hong Kong, working in various roles alongside the Media magazine team.

As a key member of the CEI team Kenny Coyle has been promoted to managing editor of CEI Asia Pacific with immediate effect. Coyle was a member of the magazine's original launch team in 2000 as production editor and has worked in both the Singapore and Hong Kong editorial offices. Before joining CEI Asia Pacific, he worked for several years on UK parent company Haymarket's weekly Marketing magazine and for a number of other media and advertising industry journals.

"I'd like to thank Mark Armsden for a tremendous effort launching CEI and helping to position it as the leading conference, exhibition and incentive title in the region. It gives me great pleasure welcoming Olivia Toth on board as editor, and have every confidence that she, along with the existing team, will move the title forward with her established corporate experience," said CEI Asia Pacific publisher, Tim Waldron.
