Olympic Gold Medalist Lauren Burns to speak at AIME 2004

Olympic gold Medalist Lauren Burns is just one of four, corporate, inspirational speakers participating in the AIME High – Inspirational Speakers Experience at AIME 2004. The seminar is organized by ICMI Speakers & Entertainers.

AIME 2004, the 12th Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo will be held on 17 & 18 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia.

The AIME High seminar will run from 8.15am to 9.45am on Wednesday 18 February and includes: Lauren Burns, Adam Thompson, Mark McKeon and Tony Wilson, who will MC the session.

Tony Wilson is the 3RRR breakfast radio host and the winner of the ABC TV documentary program, ‘Race Around the World.’ Tony is also a freelance writer and photographer, whose experiences include a stint as an AFL footballer and a short career in Law.

Lauren Burns was one of only three, Australian women individual Olympic Gold Medalists at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. For Lauren to win the Olympic Gold she had to shed weight, almost starving herself, overcome numerous injuries and operations, and make many personal sacrifices. Hear about her amazing performance at the Games, and the enormous amount of hard work, perseverance and teamwork it took to win.

Adam Thompson from the legendary band ‘Chocolate Starfish,’ is currently recording his first solo album. Adam came from a small, Australian country town and climbed to the top of one of the toughest industries in Australia – The Music Industry. Adam is a new breed of speaker who draws refreshing parallels between his experiences in the music industry and the daily challenges faced by the corporate sector.

Mark McKeon is a leading work/life balance and team cohesion advocate, and author of the Healthy Lifestyle book 'Every Day Counts', the first book ever to be endorsed by the Australian Government's Health Promotion arm, 'Active Australia'. Mark is Consulting Editor to Ultra-Fit Magazine, both in Australia and the U.K, and a columnist for The Age, Panorama and various other publications. Hear about Mark’s experiences as a Fitness and Team Building coach at the AFL team Collingwood, and his unique Every Day Counts programme.
