Dragonair to its launch biggest ever Mainland China Promotion

Travel News Asia 20 August 2003

Dragonair is to hold its biggest promotion in the China mainland ever, with the launch of the week-long Dragonair Bonanza at Xintiandi, the upmarket shopping and restaurant district in Shanghai.

From 22-29 August, shoppers and diners at 48 participating outlets in Xintiandi will have the chance to win one of 60 free return Economy Class tickets between Shanghai and Hong Kong.

"The Dragonair Bonanza at Xintiandi will help us raise our profile even more in this key business hub, and cement our position as the airline of choice between the two cities," said Andy Tung, General Manager, Marketing & Sales. "Shanghai is an important destination to Dragonair: we offer more daily flights between Hong Kong and Shanghai than anywhere else in our network, and also more than any non-mainland airline."

For every Rmb150 spent at any of 48 outlets, shoppers and diners will receive one entry coupon for the Lucky Draw, which will be held at the end of The Dragonair Bonanza at Xintiandi week and see the 60 tickets given away. The more they spend, the more chances they have to win.

The coupon also features a voucher that offers a saving of Rmb300 on any Dragonair package tour to Hong Kong from Shanghai between September 1 and December 31 this year. The voucher should be presented at Dragonair's Shanghai office when booking the tour.

Meanwhile, Dragonair passengers to Shanghai can receive a 20% discount on goods and meals at Xintiandi by presenting a card that accompanies all meal trays on flights to the city during the promotional period.
