Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong launches Female Executive Traveller Programme

Travel News Asia 20 February 2003

The five-star Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel has unveiled its new Female Executive Traveller Programme this month with the aim of providing the female business traveller with further convenience and comfort during her stay.

Upon arrival at the hotel, female business travellers will find a specially created welcome booklet and satin female amenity pouch filled with useful amenities in the guest room with a fresh cut flower and a selection of herbal or fruit tea bags.

The satin amenity pouch contains everyday necessities for the female business traveller, including a nail polish remover pad, a nail file, a sanitary napkin, a loofah, milk bath and a pair of tights. Further amenities, such as a  hair roller set, lady’s shaver, shave gel, nail clipper, weight scales and silk pyjamas can also be provided upon request and delivered to the guest room.

The welcome booklet offers the busy executive a quick guide to places of interest and where to shop, information on safety and security issues, and  health and beauty packages.

Upon the launch of the programme, Belinda Goh, director of sales and marketing, says, “The frequent female executive traveller knows that it is not always easy to find everyday necessities and emergency supplies in a foreign country, especially when you need to honour important appointments as soon as you arrive. With the new Female Executive  Traveller Programme, we hope to make business travel even more convenient for the female executive, and ensure she has what she needs to be fresh and ready to manage the business at hand”.

The programme is exclusively for female business travellers, travelling alone or sharing a room with a colleague, staying for a minimum of two nights at a  corporate rate or above.
