Sofitel launches a new incentive programme for Travel Agents

Travel News Asia 20 January 2003

Sofitel, the prestige brand of Accor hotels, is offering a new incentive programme for travel agents. Called 'Challenge Your Emotions ", the programme will operate for six months from 1 January until 30 June and offers agents the possibility of winning a number of Sofitel gift vouchers.

Sofitel is reaffirming the importance placed on distribution channels in introducing this incentive programme to nearly 25,000 travel agents across the world. In January 2003, all agents are invited to sign up at the internet site www.sofitel.com/challenge or by fax (France) 33 1 45 38 14 11.

From the moment they register, agents will gather points for each night that is reserved in a Sofitel hotel (by GDS reservations or call centres), with the possibility of doubling their points on a selection of 10 Sofitel hotels which change on a monthly basis (Bonus hotels). In addition, it will be possible to increase points by participating each month in the online mini-quiz on the collective properties in the Sofitel brand.

For the entire length of the operation, registered agents will be informed of the points that they have amassed, of the new Bonus hotels and of the online presence of each E- Quiz.

At the close of the challenge, agents will receive up to 10 Sofitel gift vouchers, each to a value of 200 Euros, depending on the amount of points that they have collected. These gift vouchers will be valid for both accommodation and for restaurants across the Sofitel portfolio.

The highest scoring agents will see themselves further rewarded by an exceptional holiday which will be awarded to them by their usual Sofitel representative.

Agents will in this way have the chance to discover the new Sofitel hotels that have opened across the globe, all of which offer the 'Art de Vivre à la Française' which is a trademark of Sofitel.
