Thai Airways International Arranges Special 'Evacuation' Flight to Kuwait

Thai Airways International has arranged a special flight to assist in the evacuation of Thai citizens residing in Kuwait.

Mr. Kanok Abhiradee, President of Thai Airways International, said that THAI has arranged a special flight today on the route Bangkok – Kuwait to assist in the transport of remaining Thai citizens from Kuwait back to Thailand.

THAI has been working in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate the special flight in conjunction with the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait, which is responsible for informing Thai citizens in that area. Currently, 130 Thai people employed by S.K. Engineering and Construction Limited in Kuwait will return to Thailand on the special flight, with additional Thai passengers also anticipated to be on that flight.

Special flight TG 8110 on the route Bangkok – Kuwait (19 March 03) will depart Bangkok at 16.00 hours and arriving in Kuwait at 20.15 hours (local time), utilizing Airbus A330-300 aircraft, capable of transporting 305 passengers. 

The return, TG 8111, of the special flight on the route Kuwait –  Bangkok will depart from Kuwait at 21.45 hours on 19 March 2003 and arrive in Bangkok at 08.50 hours the following day local time.
