El Al signs up for Abacus' AnswerBack service

Travel News Asia 19 December 2003

Israel’s national carrier, EI AI Airlines, has become the 148th carrier to sign up for Abacus' AnswerBack service.

EI AI Airlines is now able to confirm receipt of all Abacus-connected travel agent bookings by sending an automatic notification back to the travel agency. This additional step helps travel agents achieve peace of mind in the knowledge that their bookings have been received by the airline.

While Abacus AnswerBack provides an easy-to-follow interface for coordinating bookings made by agencies with the airlines, it is an extremely useful service for both airlines and travel agencies ensuring that the travel booking process is made as efficient and hassle-free as possible.

“EI AI Airlines is the 148th carrier to sign on to our AnswerBack service. It is such a popular service because airlines recognise the inconvenience travel agents have to endure in the traditional method of confirming bookings through manual calls to the airline offices.

“AnswerBack is a proven solution that was developed in line with our mission of providing convenient, seamless airline and travel solutions that improve the overall operating efficiency for both our travel agents as well as airlines,” said Mr Rogelio Sarreal, Vice President and Head of Associate Sales at Abacus International Pte Ltd.
