ASEAN gets ASEAN Hip-Hop Pass for Intra-ASEAN Travel

ASEANTA has launched a new promotion for ASEAN - a newly developed tourism product called the ASEAN Hip-Hop Pass.

The ASEAN Hip-Hop Pass promotion will run from 1 August to 31 October 2003. The Pass aims to promote intra-ASEAN tourism traffic especially during the off-peak period from August to October.

The Pass is valid for sale from 1 August to 25 October 2003 and can only be purchased in ASEAN. Travel can commence on 1 August but must be completed by 31 October 2003. 

This Pass comprises two components, an Air Pass with flight coupons priced at US$99 (excluding taxes) per flight sector and a Hotel Pass which comprises of 3*, 4* and 5* participating ASEAN hotels priced from US$35, US$50 and US$70 per room per night respectively. 

The ASEAN airlines participating in this promotion are Garuda Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Thai Airways and Vietnam Airlines.

Various hotels from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand are also participating in this ASEAN Hip-Hop Pass promotion. Only holders of the ASEAN Air Pass can purchase the Hotel Pass.

The Air Pass can be bought at the above-mentioned participating ASEAN airlines and bona fide IATA travel agents, while the Hotel Pass can be booked at a bona fide IATA travel agent.
