China Southern Airlines
has signed a new cooperative marketing agreement with Sichuan Airlines.
As part of this new agreement, both airlines have agreed to closely unify
their varied classes of service (First/Business/Economy) for the upcoming
Summer and Fall 2003 travel seasons.
In addition, members of China Southern Airlines' Sky Pearl Club
will be able to "earn and burn" miles on any Sichuan Airlines' flight in the near future.
"This integrated flight classes by both airlines will lay a solid foundation for
further mutual cooperation in the areas of domestic and international sales
& marketing, as well as the frequent flyer programs" said Mr. Li Kun, Vice
President, China Southern Airlines.
Future plans call for both airlines to cooperate on flight ticketing
endorsement & settlement (i.e. accounting) and sales of multiple class
seats. |
