Raffles International ties up with Lufthansa Frequent Flyer Programme

Travel News Asia 17 February 2003

Raffles International Limited has tied up with Lufthansa as its latest preferred partner. From January 2003, members of Lufthansa's Miles & More, the  airline's frequent flyer programme, are able to credit five hundred miles to their accounts when they stay at qualifying rates at Raffles International hotels located at gateway destinations along the airline's flight route.

Raffles International's Senior Vice President, Marketing, Mrs Diana Ee-Tan said, "This partnership is indeed a good fit as Lufthansa either flies direct or operate frequent feeder flights to many gateway destinations where we have  Raffles International hotels, such as Berlin, London, Hamburg, Zurich, New York and Beijing. Through this partnership, we will extend our marketing capabilities to reach more than seven million frequent travellers in Lufthansa's Miles & More frequent flyer programme."

Lufthansa is one of the world's biggest and prestigious airlines and Europe's second largest. Following its full privatisation in 1997, Lufthansa has emerged  as one of Germany's biggest public companies.

General Manager, Travel Partner Miles and More Hans-Wilhelm Pausch said, " Raffles International Hotels and Resorts is a welcome addition to Lufthansa  Miles and More, and we look forward to growing this relationship over the years to come. Their luxury and deluxe tiers are well suited to the discerning  business and leisure travellers that choose to fly with Lufthansa."
