Park Plaza Hotel Kuala Lumpur re-branded as Hotel Grand Maya

Travel News Asia 15 July 2003

The 280 room, Park Plaza Kuala Lumpur has been re-branded as the Hotel Grand Maya.

The new name is derived from the word Grand, denoting Luxury followed by the word Maya, which means Illusion in sanskrit.

Hotel Grand Maya's new Logo

The logo design was conceptualised from the traditional ‘Songket’ motifs. Uniquely representing the modern and traditional aspect of the hotel, the logo symbolises fusion of east and west entwined to personify comfort without compromise.

The hotel emphasised that the change is in name only and that the nature of its business and quality of service will remain exactly as before. Meanwhile, in an endeavour to provide enhanced facilities for its guests, the Hotel Grand Maya is in the midst of upgrading its gymnasium and will also be adding a new dining outlet that will be launched soon.
